Plans and billing
There are two plans, and the only difference between them is how much you can capture. No feature is behind the paid plan.
Free
50 captures, every feature included.
That is 50 in total, not 50 a month — enough to decide whether tidee suits how you think without a trial clock running.
Everything works on Free: voice capture, Siri, boxes, sharing, search, the API. Boxes do not count against the allowance, and neither does editing, completing or archiving something you already captured. Only creating a new entry counts.
Application Settings → Billing on the web shows how many you have used. The mobile app has no billing screen — see below.
Standard
$5 per month, unlimited captures.
Subscribe from Application Settings → Billing on the web, or from the prompt that appears when you reach the Free limit.
What happens when you reach the limit
Capture stops and everything else carries on. Your entries stay exactly where they are, sharing keeps working, and anything already shared with you is unaffected. You are not locked out of your own data at any point.
Paying, and managing your subscription
Payments are handled by Paddle, our payment provider and merchant of record. Paddle takes care of the card details and any VAT or sales tax due in your country — the price you see at checkout includes it.
From Application Settings → Billing on the web you can:
- see your next renewal date,
- cancel — your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for, then reverts to Free,
- reactivate, if you cancelled and changed your mind before the period ends,
- retry a payment that failed,
- and open Paddle’s portal to update your card or download invoices.
If a payment fails we tell you in the app and you can retry it there. Nothing is deleted while a payment is outstanding.
In the mobile app
The app is free to download and the Free allowance works exactly the same way. Subscribing happens on our website rather than in the app, so the Upgrade button opens your browser and there is no in-app purchase. That is also why the billing screen itself is web-only. Whatever you subscribe to applies to both clients straight away.
Refunds
See our refund policy. If something has gone wrong with a payment, contact us — a human reads it.
Cancelling versus deleting
Cancelling ends the subscription and keeps your account and your entries on the Free plan. Deleting your account removes everything. They are different things and the second one cannot be undone — see Your account.
